What is urgent care?

An Urgent Care provides immediate care for non-life-threatening medical emergencies that will be classed as low acuity in emergency departments but still needs to be seen immediately.

What services does Urgent Care Brisbane provide?

We are experts in providing immediate medical care by emergency nurses and doctors.

  • Urgent investigations – blood tests

  • Urgent Radiology – CT scan and X-rays

  • Sporting injuries

  • Fractures​ - all closed fractures and close reductions on displaced fractures. For all compound fractures, please go to your nearest Emergency Department

  • Intravenous therapy – If fluids, IV antibiotics.

  • Urgent referrals​​

What is the cost?

Do I need an appointment or referral?

No appointments or referrals are needed for receiving care at urgent care.

We take bookings for selected infusions and selected contraceptive implant insertions.

Please Note: Patients are not seen in order of arrival, but based on urgency and, in times of high demand, wait times may be longer than expected.

What are your opening hours?

Urgent Care Brisbane is open from 8 am to 8 pm, seven days a week.

When should I visit Urgent Care Brisbane?

If an injury or illness occurs that is not life-threatening but requires immediate attention.

 

Urgent care Brisbane offers immediate care, including treatment for minor falls/trips. Complex lacerations, closed fractures, and all sporting injuries. Infections, atypical chest pains, shortness of breath, vomiting & diarrhea, Migraines and headaches, mild asthma, for further details please see our list of services or call our highly experienced triage nurse on (07) 21138660.

When is it NOT suitable to visit Urgent Care Brisbane?

In cases of serious illness or injury such as unconsciousness, severe chest pain, major accidents, or need for major procedures, please dial 000 or visit your nearest Emergency Department.

We do not replace your GP. We will not manage your long-term medical issues, such as chronic conditions, medication management and monitoring.

Is there radiology and pathology onsite?

We have radiology onsite seven days a week, 10 am to 7 pm, CT scans and X-rays.

We can take bloods onsite and courier them to our nearest pathology.
